This set of lessons is a two week run for a group of LA and SEND pupils from Year 6 to write another tale from the Monster in A Monster calls.
WK 1
Monday- Using AI to answer questions posed to the Monster.
Tuesday- Figurative language to help the children show not tell their descriptions.
Wednesday- Developing character voice and writing in the style of the Monster. Using the tale of the three brothers as stimulus.
Thursday- Writing a short description of the land the Monster came from to practice using
Friday- Planning their own short story in the style of the Monster using a story mountain.

WK 2
Monday- Drafting the beginning of their tale.
Tuesday- Editing the draft
Wednesday- Using direct and indirect speech- this is a skills gap for the CHN.
Thursday and Friday- Writing their final pieces using their learning from the past two weeks.

NOTE: Resources from the Monday and Tuesday aren’t included as they were made by another teacher.
