This revision mat covers the AQA combined science Specific Heat Capacity and Specific Latent Heat calculations and was designed for use in end of year revision for year 10 students but could easily be used for higher ability year 9s.

POINTS PURSUIT is a gamified revision strategy that can be integrated with any rewards system of your choosing and is a nice way to increase competition. Questions start off as low demand at the top and then progressively increase in difficulty as students move down the sheet - please note that I have used this with higher ability classes and many students have started at the bottom to gain the most points and then worked their way up the sheet as an effective strategy.

I usually complete a sheet under a visualiser and have students swap sheets and coloured pens then follow along to reduce my marking :)

AQA Combined and Triple Science Physics Paper 1 Worksheets and Activities

These are revision mats for AQA Combined and Triple Science Paper 1. Specifically looking at Physics topics. This includes: * Energy * Electricity * Particle Model of Matter * Atomic Structure (Radiation) For only £5 you will receive 18 revision mats, which include: **Electricity:** * Electricity at home * Circuits * Generating electricity * Electricity Equations points pursuit * Circuit component dominoes *The circuit component dominoes includes 2 card sort activities to allow for differentiation. These are both domino style activities where students will make a chain of cards with their answer from the previous card leading directly onto their next question. *The first activity is more suited for higher ability students as students are required to match their component to their description/function rather than the name of the component.* *The second card sort is more suited for lower ability students as this one simply includes the names of the components and their symbols.* **Energy** * Energy resources * Generating electricity * Energy stores and transfers * Energy Equations points pursuit **Particle Model of Matter** * The Particle model of matter * Specific heat capacity and specific latent heat calculations * Gas pressure * Measuring the density of objects Required Practical **Atomic Structure (Radiation):** * Isotopes and RAM * Properties of radiation * Nuclear fission and fusion * Decay equation dominoes *This is a domino style activity where students will make a chain of cards with their answer from the previous card leading directly onto their next question.* *Students should have a strong understanding of how alpha and beta decay will affect the atomic number and atomic mass before attempting this activity.* *I recommend laminating the cards and storing in ‘packs’ to be reused time and time again* **BONUS** As a little added bonus, I have included the units in physics puzzle squares activity. *Print one sheet per A4 page (one sided) and cut out the squares. Shuffle the squares and have students match the sides of the squares until all 15 cards have been used. There is more than one way to complete this puzzle.* *High ability students should be able to use all 15 cards. For lower ability students, remove the 2 end columns indicated on the sheet so that they complete the puzzle with 9 cards.*
