Drawing scientifically correct ray diagrams is essential in Physics exams. This worksheet is appropriate for A level and GCSE students alike. These diagrams have to be perfect! Losing marks for drawing them incorrectly is unforgivable! Ideal as a starter or a formative assessment, this simple worksheet will test your students to the limit. Complete with answer sheet! Wave fronts! Rays! Virtual image in a plane mirror! Diffraction and refraction! It is all here.
this is just a cut-paste of 7 diagrams on one page and the second page has drawn-in answers but no explanations. <br />
For the two "bonus tasks", the answer key has an simple and incomplete answer to the first one, and the answer to the second one is "you will have to do it yourself . I have run out of space. Standard textbook stuff." .... i wish TES would give me a refund on this as it is quite useless.

"Do it yourself etc" assumes that I am dealing with a teacher qualified to teach Science who can answer simple GCSE science questions, it is meant to be slightly tongue in cheek. The "cut and paste" diagrams and answers are self made and took me hours. No explanations? Seriously? The worksheet is testing student knowledge at the end of a topic and assumes that this content has been taught already by a specialist teacher. Alternatively, you could always try doing some work yourself and make your own resources and save money that way. Just a suggestion. If you send me your address, I am more than happy to refund you (minus postage and packing which is approximately £2).
