The cover image shows the 6 topics in one of the Categorising activities. This activity could then be developed by working out synonyms, other language you might see or hear in texts, giving the same meaning (Higher Tier mainly).
There is also a Tense recognition and adaptation exercise, requiring students to place sentences under the correct tense and to then adapt language underlined. They could also translate sentences (useful for current Year 10, doing the New GCSE).
These resources are useful for Years 9-11, but particularly for Year 11, as they approach their Listening and Reading exams on the 18/19th May.
Some tasks are aimed at Foundation and some are Higher. Many worksheets have been done in Font 14/16, allowing for printing 2 pages into 1.
Some activities could be adapted or printed out in a larger font, to use in a game in groups or as a whole class.
