Imperfect tense translation practice (La niñez) and conjugations

Part 1: Translate each sentence in Spanish using the imperfect tense. Conjugate the verb in parenthesis in the imperfect tense and write the clue word (cada día etc) in the last column of the template. (15 total)

*Note: All sentences are in the Yo conjugation and pertain to childhood activities.

Example:

  1. I used to talk to my friend every day. (Hablar / cada día)

Template: Subject (Yo) + Conjugated verb + Rest + Clue word

Part 2: Conjugation practice: Write the imperfect conjugations for each infinitive.

*Students will conjugate 9 infinitives for all six persons in a template provided. Infinitives include: hablar, comer, escribir, despertarse, ponerse, vestirse, ser, ir, ver.

Answer key is included on pages 6-10. This practice can be used when students are first learning the imperfect tense. It can be used for classwork, homework, review, quiz, entry / exit slip, or sub plans.
