Christopher Columbus was an explorer of the seas and discovered the Americas. Columbus changed the world through this and has a divided view between historians due to his links with slavery and the natives of America. This lesson takes children through Christopher Columbus’ story and explains to children what Christopher explored and the impact of this.
This resource is a powerpoint presentation which discusses with children Christopher Columbus’ life as well as making links to the prior lesson which was based on Ibn Battuta. With this resource is a travel guide for this unit of work, children complete a page a session in this.
