KS3 Musical Element - Texture

This is a practical resource meant for keyboard. It uses London’s burning to explore monophonic, homophonic and polyphonic textures. I use this for my Year 7 classes and allows for differentiation i.e. lower ability take the monophonic version and play in octaves, middle ability takes the homophonic and introduces chords and higher ability takes polyphonic.

Letters of notes haven’t been written in to add an element of notation reading as a starter but you can easily add this yourself and then photocopy! Enjoy!
