A KS3 Design and technology project that aims to introduce students to the basic skills and processes required to work with timber and acrylic.
The resource contains a 78 page slide show that contains all the information needed to deliver the project at a high level. The resource has structured lessons that will guide students through the design process and introduce them to basic manufacture techniques. The resource has an accompanying project booklet which can be printed and used in class. This is a brilliant project that I have delivered to KS3 students over the past few years and they really connect with it and adore their outcomes. The resource also contains individual lessons plans.
A great introduction to Design and technology as the project is challenging but accomplishable enough for students of their age. The project has the depth to stretch higher ability students as much as it facilitates for the not so able.
Can be a great project to insert into a KS3 DT rotation/carousel. Booklet is editable and simple enough to incorporate into a larger yearly booklet.
