Lesson covers: how to say how one travels somewhere as well as different modes of transport, how AR verbs work in the present tense using VIAJAR, with differentiated translation tasks to practice using correct AR endings. Option to revise family members and places one can travel to. Students can then apply their knowledge of transport, viajar and AR endings in a writing task (again, differentiated) task based on holidays and/or a speaking task, based on AQA style speaking exam with photos and the three questions students must prepare.

Lesson includes: Differentiated objectives, starter activity to review key words in lesson and previous lesson, assessment, with answers based on holiday vocab.
Activity 1: Learning modes of transport with viajar.
Activity 2: Review of how to form present tense of AR verbs using viajar. 3 Step guide explained on slides. Then 'construct' activity for students to practice translations using AR endings. There is a separate resource containing key vocabulary (modes of transport, members of family and more places I go to) and a translation task based on AR verbs for L.A. students.
Activity 3: There are two options: a differentiated writing option, or a speaking option. For the speaking option, there is a slide with key vocab to help students prepare for speaking about the photo. Then slide with photo and three questions based on photo which students are to answer.
