Number of the Week

An A4 activity sheet for maths. You choose a number for the week and children have to fill in the relevant information such as:

• The number written in words
• The number of ones/tens/hundreds/thousands the ‘number of the week’ has
• The number written in expanded form
• 10/100 more and less than the ‘number of the week’
• Placing the number on a number line
• Representing the number in different ways (this sheet has a bar model and place value counters but this can be changed to dienes, abacus etc.)
• Writing a word problem with the ‘number of the week’ as the answer

This document can be edited to suit the needs of your class.

I use mine as an early morning task for children to complete as they come into class and settle themselves for the day.
