Predict and Test - Addition Word Problems Assessment

Check out this two part simple assessment to gain insight into students' understanding of the "Predict and Test" method which builds on the idea of guess and check but uses students knowledge and prior information to make their math more meaningful. There are four total questions. The first two, include word problems that students think through how to meet basic requirements included in the sentences. The second two include addition up to the thousands place where students must show their work. This can easily be use for small group work, independent work, homework, or an assessment such as a quiz, test, or exit ticket.
