My students on entry to the school learn to read music in the first MINUTE. It is displayed on the wall, in practice rooms and also at the front of their folders. Works a treat. I've been teaching for 26 years and finally have a method that NEVER fails!! Poster includes Bass Clef as well.
If you have a music whiteboard lay your hand on the stave - it makes it so much more visual. I do drills using my hand asking them to identify notes - it does work and my year tens use it all the time now. Good luck!
