The Three Little Pigs / Science / Materials
This unit can be used alongside the story of The Three Little Pigs. It provides opportunities for the children to use science to investigate the materials product are made of and link it to their storytelling.

Planning included! Through this small unit, children learn about the materials used in the story of The Three Little Pigs, found out where straw, wood and bricks (clay) come from, how they are used as building materials and their properties.,as well as describe and compare every day objects made of the same materials, and carry out 2 science experiments.
Includes
• Planning - for 5 lessons.
• PowerPoint – found out what straw, wood and clay comes from, how they are used as building materials and their properties
• Text for reading activities (similar as powerPoint)
• Flashcards – objects made of straw, wood and clay

Worksheets:
• What do you know about these materials? (Using key vocabulary to describe materials and their properties) Complete sentences or/ and use writing sheet – using
• Sort objects (cut & Paste) made of straw, wood and clay
• Describe what straw, wood and clay feels like (use word bank)
• Found out which material absorbs water the most
• Found out which material can be move the furthest
