Need a fun rhythm activity this winter? These snowmen are the perfect solution! This matching game allows students to match the rhythms with the rhythm names and the number of beat the rhythms have. Use this while working on meter or rhythm in elementary music.
Students will match the rhythm with the name and the amount of beats that each rhythm gets-- and make a snowman! Students can also match just the top two sections (note + note name) without the number of beats if that better suits you.
This will be great for teaching elementary music or private piano lessons. This was a really fun activity for centers-- my students did this is small groups. Perfect for music class during November, December, January, and February-- or longer if you live farther north.
All rhythms are available in both regular notation and stick notation.
These are also available in recorder fingerings, rhythm, and treble clef. Or you can get the same thing, but as snowmen, hearts, shamrocks, or puzzle pieces.
