Spanish Chores Lesson

This lesson includes everything you need to teach a lesson on chores vocabulary in all forms (yo, tú, él/ella, nosotros, ellos/ellas). There is a drill, powerpoint that teaches questions (¿qué haces en casa?, ¿qué hace él/ella en casa?, ¿qué hacen ustedes en casa?, and ¿qué hacen ellos en casa?) with 11 chores, a vocabulary sheet, a verb conjugation sheet for students to refer to, classwork that includes listening, reading, and writing activities, a listening script, a homework, an exit ticket, and a lesson plan guiding the teacher through everything. Answer keys and a picture key are provided.

This lesson also includes family vocabulary and rooms of the house vocabulary, which students should already know.

All the documents (except the powerpoint) are Word docs, so they are editable for any curriculum. The powerpoint is saved as both .ppt and .pptx.

Chores Vocabulary includes:
-cortar el césped
-hacer la cama
-sacar la basura
-limpiar
-cocinar
-lavar los platos
-lavar la ropa
-sacudir los muebles
-pasar la aspiradora
-arreglar
-cuidar a (Pepito, al hermano, etc)

Activities include:
-listen as you hear what chores various people do and mark the chore you hear
-read sentences and choose the chore being described
-read a short paragraph and answer questions about what chores she and her family members do
-answer questions about what chores you and others do, using pictures as prompts
-write a short paragraph about what chores you and your family members do

This lesson is ideal for a Spanish 1 class in middle or high school.
