I created this resource, to be used as a starter, to allow students to get their brains warmed up, ready for learning. It is a PowerPoint, that contains thunks and questions that students need to think about to find an answer or solution to the question.
They could also be used as a stretch and challenge activities or as a plenary at the end of the lesson. A good idea, would be to print these off and display them around your classroom - as this would help students to prepare for their learning and become and independent learner, by thinking outside of the box.
The PPT contains 25+ thunks, each slide includes a thunk and an image to represent it. Examples of the thunks include:
* Does time exist?
* Where does electricity come from?
* If I switch of a light in a room, do the walls change colour?
* Is a toy that no body wants or plays with still a toy?
* If you could pick a colour for each day of the week, what colour would you choose?
* And lots more!
