The first parts of each resource uses everyday objects, Numicon, money, pentagons, hands. feet, coins, rulers and scales to get students to count and think in twos, fives, and tens.
Part 2 recaps and reinforces previous learning- builds upon learning and then challenges students with mastery questions using 2p, 5p and 10p coins to buy small items. Also compares amounts of 5p coins to 2p and 10p coins.
Includes self-assessment slides for students and a “Whizz Bang” game as a plenary.
