Year 5 / 6 - Translating shapes on a grid - 4 differentiated worksheets

4 differentiated worksheets to be used to teach translating shapes. Children are given a shape on a grid, and an instruction of how to translate it to a different position. There are 6 questions on each sheet. Sheets have a title (Translating Shapes) and can be easily be trimmed for normal sized books.

**LA: **Translating rectangles in one axis with left and right prompts.
**MA: **Translating simple shapes (e.g. triangles, hexagons) in one axis with left and right prompts.
**HA: **Translating more complex shapes (e.g. arrows, parallelograms) in one axis.
