Summer Year 3 GPS Assessment

The story is about a scruffy giant who wants to be look smart. He buys new clothes but on his journey home he meets different animals who need his help (and his clothes). It is a lovely story with Personal, Social and Health Education themes throughout. We recommend using this story for Year 1.

This whole class guided reading pack for Giraffes Can’t Dance is differentiated for Year 1 and linked to the new National Curriculum objectives. It includes comprehension questions and a challenge activity linked to the book.
Dyslexia Intervention Programme Week 14
This Dyslexia Intervention Programme is aimed to support the development of the working memory, sequencing skills, fine motor skills and phonological awareness.
Each lesson starts with a recap on the lesson taught previously. Children can then work through each activity within each lesson to provide a daily practice of the relevant skills that can often be a barrier for those with Dyslexia.
Teachers can choose to deliver this using a Powerpoint, so that the lesson is on screen for the child, or there is a PDF provided which will guide you through a way to deliver this lesson practically.
