A great classroom display and sorting activity that has been updated after the 2024 presidential election result. The resource is perfect for introducing students to all of the U.S Presidents throughout history.
Great for class work, distance learning and home schooling. There are 47 posters or cards of all of the U.S Presidents, starting with the very first, George Washington, up until Joe Biden, and then Donald Trump.
The posters look great as a display in the classroom and the cards are a brilliant resource for looking into U.S. History. The displays and cards come both with dates and without dates, so the students can research the dates online before sorting the timeline. The cards look even better when laminated.

This bundle contains four play scripts: A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Macbeth, Hamlet and Richard III. It also contains six reading comprehension activities; a biography writing unit about William Shakespeare and a discussion based writing unit about which play was his greatest.

This is a biography writing unit about the life and career of the new vice president of the United States, Kamala Harris. The unit has been split into four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each. Perfect for Year 5 or Year 6.
The first lesson is interactive and involves them cutting out facts, and then sorting these facts into paragraphs. In the second lesson the children need to use these facts to write four paragraphs. In the third lesson children need to choose the most important facts and include these in an introduction; after this they need to answer several questions before writing up their conclusion. In the final lesson your class will need to check their draft paragraphs for mistakes before writing up their work into a neat copy on the template provided.
NO PREP is needed!
If you would like to add another lesson, download my Kamala Harris Reading Comprehension Activity. This would give the students more background knowledge before they start writing the biography.

A reading comprehension activity, or informational text, with comprehension and grammar questions followed by an extension task about the American Civil War. The Google Forms activity is ideal for distance learning and perfect for students in Year 3 or Year 4 learning about U.S. History and Abraham Lincoln.
When downloaded this resource includes a printable version of the reading comprehension and a PDF with a link that allows you to copy the Google Forms document and save it in your Google Drive.
The activity can be completed by students online using tablets, phones or computers, and is easily assessed by teachers as all the answers are provided in a quick and easy format.
Time allowance to complete:
5-10 minutes - read through the text individually.
30-40 minutes - answer questions using the text as guidance (including extension activity)
Time allowance to assess:
A class set of activities might take around 15-20 minutes to mark; the teacher can then send the students their marks automatically, which allows them to read back through their work.
