Communicating online PSHE Lesson. A one hour-long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS2. In this lesson, the students will discuss why we need to be careful when communicating with others online. We will discuss ways that we can be respectful to others, and identify examples of unacceptable online behaviour. We will look at how sarcasm and intonation rarely translate well in written messages, often leading to unnecessary upset. The students will investigate the importance of grammar in informal messages, including how easily the meaning of a sentence can be changed with inappropriate punctuation. British Values Assembly. Suitable for use with either KS2 or KS3, this fun, light-hearted assembly is perfect for introducing, or reinforcing your student’s knowledge of all five British values.
In this assembly, King Charles III presents British values and their importance to a less-than-interested student, Loudmouth Lewis, in an attempt to win him over.

People who care for me KS1 PSHE lesson.
A one-hour long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS1. This lesson has been created for Year 1, however, the activities are also suitable for students in Year 2, and could easily be adapted for use with older students.
In this lesson, the children will learn about the different people in their lives who care for them. In addition to the care given by parents and guardians, we will also discuss the role of friends, teacher, siblings, extended family, and healthcare workers.
The students will reflect on Love Grows Everywhere by Barry Timms, before completing a set of discussion-based activities. The lesson includes a case study starter, a ‘guided reading’ challenge linked to the text, a set of ‘find someone who’ case studies, and a VIP-themed plenary task.

An assembly which focuses on why positive attitudes towards learning and good behaviour are essential in order for students to have successful futures. The assembly encourages the students to link their behaviour they display now with their future career prospects and exam results.
The assembly also explores the concept of unrealistic expectations when it comes to career prospects and emphasises why working hard at school is not only important but essential for eventual happy and fulfilled lives.

A one hour RE lesson focusing on religion, holy war and terrorism. This was used in for GCSE RS Thematic Studies AQA (9-1) Theme D. It is fully editable and includes essay preparation, quote analysis tasks, a variety of activities, a 12 mark practice question, clips and questions and is fully differentiated. It is mostly about Christianity with a focus on Islam as the religion of comparison.

An assembly focusing on the dangers of fake news, how we recognise fake news and the importance of being aware of it. The assembly explores the fact that it was Hitler who invented the idea of fake news and then examines how he used it to gain power and control the public, before comparing it to the way politicians use fake news - from Thatcher to Trump. There are then slides which explore how to recognise fake news and what to do if you’re unsure.
The slides shown are just a sample of those included. The whole assembly follows an easy narrative that can be used with no additional prep (although it is also editable should you want to). Best suited for secondary students.

Vaping - what is it and why is it so dangerous?
In this lesson, the students will revisit their previous knowledge of smoking and vaping, as we delve deeper into the issue of underage vaping, its health risks and the wider environmental impact.
The lesson will look at the history of vaping and it’s role in driving down the use of tobacco, before discussing the growing trend of vaping amongst young people.
We will be reminded of our fundamental British values, with respect to the rule of law and democracy as we evaluate the effectiveness of our current laws and create a campaign to lobby the government for stricter regulations.
The lesson is both challenging and mature and has been created with a view to being used with students in Year 6, however, the resources are also suitable for use in LKS3 (Years 7 or 8).

Road safety KS1 PSHE lesson.
A one-two hour long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS1. This lesson has been created for Year 2, however, the activities may also be suitable for younger KS2 children (Year 3).
In this lesson, the students will learn all about road safety. We will discuss the safest way to cross the road, as well as looking at a range of pedestrian crossings: pelican; puffin; zebra; toucan; and school crossing patrols (lollipop people).
The students will match the pedestrian crossings with the correct descriptions and create a storyboard to describe the correct way to use a pelican crossing. The lesson includes a case study starter, a set of video clips with accompanying questions, a draw-a-line task, a storyboard activity and a plenary task.

Accidents and emergencies KS1 PSHE lesson.
A one-hour long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS1. This lesson has been created for Year 2, however, the activities may also be suitable for younger KS2 children (Year 3).
In this lesson, the students will learn how to respond to an emergency. We will discuss how to determine if it is appropriate to call the emergency services. In this lesson, the students will explore age restrictions relating to film, videogames and social media and the laws that underpin them.
