E-Safety - making safe, reliable choices online KS2 PSHE Lesson. A one hour-long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS2. This lesson has been created for Year 3, however, the resource is suitable for use across KS2. In this lesson, the students will discuss the positive and negative ways that people can use the internet and reflect on the reliability of the information online. We will discuss the importance of double-checking information and looking carefully at our search results when browsing. The students will also be told how to spot adverts in search engine results and on shopping platforms.
The lesson includes an information sheet, a card sort/discussion task, a video clip activity, a secret message activity with a set of 20 task cards, and a plenary task.
Created to fit the new DfE and PSHE Association statutory 2020 /21 guidelines, the lesson includes a detailed PowerPoint, all editable with accompanying tasks and worksheets.

Personal safety and risk PSHE Lesson. A one-hour long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS2. This lesson has been created for Year 3, however, the contents of the lesson are suitable for students across KS2. In this lesson, the students will learn about personal safety and the different ways that we can protect ourselves. Drop Down Day / Off Timetable Day Pack - A set of 6 lessons to cover a Drop Down Day (6 hours) all about careers and enterprise.
The Drop Down Day was put together for Year 10 originally, but all the resources are editable and well-differentiated so it could be used with any year group KS4 / KS3 with a tweak or so.
The overall theme for the series of KS4 Drop Down Days was ‘Independent Living’, so this is just one in a series of six which ran throughout the year. This particular day was run just before the Year 10s went off for work experience, as we decided that this would be a great way to prepare them and convey the importance of focusing on their possible future employment opportunities.
As 25% of Britains now class themselves as self-employed, two out of the six sessions also have a large focus on entrepreneurship and enterprise skills.
All these individual lessons have been rated very highly by Tes users and are tried and tested in my own department.

The lesson introduces students to the health risks of obesity and also the positives of body positivity, before focusing on the debate surrounding the plus-size model Tess Holliday’s appearance on the front cover of Cosmopolitan Magazine. Students create extended responses to Piers Morgan’s negative tweeting about plus-size models as a literacy focus task.
