This detailed 23 page PSHE / Citizenship workbook has been created for the new PSHE 2020 Statutory Guidance and focuses on prejudice and discrimination - in this case racism and the Black Lives Matter movement. A fully-resourced lesson which serves as an introduction to ageism, which can be used as part of an anti-discrimination unit. The lesson examines why there can be conflict between generations, ageism in the workplace, the ‘OK Boomer’ memes and the discrepancy between the political views highlighted by recent current affairs. A fully resourced lesson which could be used in PSHCE or as over a week of Tutor Time sessions, investigating the climate change protests. Students will discover who Extinction Rebellion and Greta Thunberg are, what they and similar groups and people are trying to achieve, why the urgency and why some people oppose some of the current methods of protest. Students will then form their own views on whether peaceful protest is really enough in the face of a global climate emergency. This resource pack includes a one hour long PowerPoint with accompanying information pack and worksheets, well differentiated activities, literacy focus tasks, clip tasks with three-way differentiated questions and debate task. The resources are all in the ZIP file, the images have been uploaded so you can clearly see an example on Tes of some of the contents.
