They can be printed in colour or black and white. Algebra Expanding Single Brackets and Collecting Like Terms Autumn Maths Simplifying Expressions Colouring Activity Algebra Collecting Like Terms Fun Maths Autumn Activity Simplifying algebraic expressions including positive and negative numbers. ✦ Notes: This is great for Autumn fun! There are 24 questions on expanding single brackets and simplifying algebraic expressions by collecting like terms. For example, expanding 6x - 3(x + 4y) - 2y to produce the equivalent simplified expression. Each answer occurs twice, once with a number and once with a colour. The matching colour can then be used to colour the scarecrow picture in a colour by number activity.
