Resource 1 A pack of resources to use with young people experiencing emotional based school avoidance. The pack contains the following: Feelings flashcards in symbols. Can be used for a matching game or talking prompts Emotions scale – emotions from 1-5 that can be used to discuss feelings in different situations My Ideal School – flashcards with questions to help the young person discuss what an ideal school would be like My Ideal School – questions in symbols Preparation for Adulthood visual – 2xA4 sheets that can be put together to create a visual for discussing preparation for adulthood in meetings Push and Pull factors towards school/away from school Transition to a new school talking cards. These could also be used to discuss transitions within school. What makes you fizz worksheet for young person to discuss things that make them feel stressed and angry 25 page worry work pack – contains flashcards for young people to sort into things that cause them worry including blank cards for own ideas; a sheet to identify likelihood of the worrying thing happening; worry scale and a worry mountain Young person’s voice questionnaire True/False questions about school Resource 2 A resource pack produced using Widgit symbols. PSD Community Action – ASDAN This resource pack contains assessment booklets to cover the learning objectives and assessment criteria of the PSD Community Action units at Entry levels 1, 2 and 3. These units were used to support evidencing of ASDAN units but ASDAN were not involved in their creation. In addition, there is a powerpoint that can be used for classroom based activities. This is approximately 15 pages long. There is also a worksheet prompt for staff with classroom group work ideas. These could be given out to learners as it is, cut into sections or personalised to the needs of the group I hope that you like this resource. I would love to hear from you with feedback. A unit booklet designed to meet the learning outcomes and assessment criteria of the unit. It contains suggested tasks as well as blank witness statement and photo annotation sheets. At the end is a feedback form along with assessment for learning emojis on each page of the resources. Although the unit covers the assessment criteria for the unit, Gateway Qualifications have not been involved in the design or production of the booklets.
