If you are teaching Describing People in French / Describing Myself, both Appearance (Les Descriptions Physiques) and Personality (Les Traits de Caractère / de Personnalité) at KS2 or KS3 and equivalents in other countries, this BIG BUNDLE of my 7 resource packs for these topics will take all the stress out of planning multiple lessons. Thank you.   There’s lots of variety to suit different abilities, French experience, learning styles and interests:   French Physical Descriptions 97-slide Interactive PowerPoint Presentation (and PDF version) French Character / Personality Traits 70-slide Interactive PowerPoint Presentation + 40 additional slides for a memory game (and PDF version) 7 Physical Descriptions Worksheets / Printable Puzzles (including additional differentiated versions of some & answer keys) 7 Character Traits Worksheets / Printable Puzzles (including additional differentiated versions of some & answer keys) 5 Physical Descriptions Printable Games 5 Character Traits Printable Games French Character Traits Flashcards 4 vocabulary support pages 24 Combined Physical / Character Descriptions Translation Cards 1 Combined Physical / Character Descriptions Reading Comprehension Worksheet (Differentiated)   Due to a small number of spelling differences between British and US English and the fact that French speakers in Canada often use ‘bruns’ instead of ‘marron’ to describe brown eyes, there are additional versions of resources where this is relevant. All resources are in PDF, apart from the 2 PowerPoint presentations (which are also included in PDF format in case you do not have PowerPoint – please note the PDF versions of the presentations do not retain the interactive element of the PowerPoints).   If you only wish to have some of these 7 resource packs, they are available individually or as part of smaller bundles in my TpT store: French Physical Descriptions BUNDLE French Physical Descriptions Presentation French Physical Descriptions Worksheets French Physical Descriptions Games French Character Traits BUNDLE French Character Traits Presentation French Character Traits Worksheets French Character Traits Games French Physical and Character Descriptions Translation Cards and Comprehension Please check the previews and individual resource pages if you require more information. German Greetings and Introductions Game

(0)
NO PREP printable board game and vocabulary card for oral practice of basic German greetings (Die Begrüßungen auf Deutsch), farewells and introducing yourself in German. This speaking review activity reinforces vocabulary such as Guten Tag (Hello), Guten Abend (Good evening), Auf Wiedersehen (Goodbye) and Bis bald (See you soon). Students will practise asking and answering questions such as Wie geht’s? (How are you?), Wie heißt du? (What’s your name?), Wie alt bist du? (How old are you?), and Wo wohnst du? (Where do you live?). My German basics resources are made for students beginning German and near beginners in KS2 or early KS3 (Years 5, 6 and 7) and equivalents but they may suit others, depending on experience. Please check the preview file to assess suitability. Three slightly different versions of this game are included, with minor changes to a small number of phrases with locations in them. This is to better suit learners in US & Canada (Page 1 of the PDF), Australia and New Zealand (Page 2), and UK and Ireland (Page 3). All phrases used in the game feature on the vocabulary card so if you are not teaching in any of these countries, you will still be able to use the game. The vocabulary card can support younger, less experienced, or less able students. Brief instructions for students are printed on the board, together with fuller instructions on Page 5 of the PDF file. In turn, students roll a dice and move the appropriate number of spaces. They have to say aloud in German the word, phrase or question they land on, otherwise they return to the space they came from. You may wish to print the board in A3 for larger groups but it works well in A4 too. SAVE by purchasing this as part of my German Greetings and Introductions BUNDLE, along with these further 4 resource packs: German Greetings and Introductions Presentation and Activities German Greetings Worksheets German Greetings Games German Greetings Role-Play Cards Although I’m in the early days of adding German content, if you teach French too you might be interested to explore some of my French resources: Huge French Basics BUNDLE

Money Change £1

(1)
Money Games (Change for One Pound): differentiated, illustrated four-in-a-row game boards, each featuring 36 prices in UK currency (sterling) for calculating change from a pound, plus a 20-card loop card / dominoes set. Printable games for starters, early finishers activities, revision etc. FOUR IN A ROW A fun, strategic activity for consolidating this key money / financial / shopping skill. Ideal for maths lessons or Money Week skills practice. Originally designed for Key Stage 1 (KS1) Year 2 (Y2) and Lower KS2 Year 3 or 4 (Y3 / Y4), or for older students requiring consolidation. In Scotland, use for First Level Maths, Primary 3 or 4 or early Second Level. Includes: 2 PDF files 2 standard boards (featuring different items and prices from each other) 2 lower ability boards (same as above but less challenging calculations) Answer grids for at-a-glance checking by pupils or teacher Teacher notes Laminate and use again and again. Children work as pairs against pairs or one against one to get 4 correct answers in a row - horizontally, vertically or diagonally. It works especially well if they roll a dice to find which column they must pick a calculation from (columns numbered 1-6). If there are no questions left in a column, skip a go or roll again. Imagining that they pay for each item with £1, pupils use a different coloured whiteboard pen to record on the board the change due for each of their transactions or add an initial or symbol if both teams are using the same colour. I recommend printing in A3 but A4 is okay too. The LA versions have a star next to the title. Print on different coloured card or paper if required. LOOP GAME / FOLLOW ME CARDS / DOMINOES A 20-card set that can start with any card. A child reads the ‘I spend’ part first as they make their ‘purchase’ with others working out if they have the relevant ‘I give you’. Use for groups or as a whole class starter or plenary (in pairs if necessary). LA pupils could be given less challenging cards so they can still experience success. I hope these money games save you time. I have packs for calculating change from £5, £10 and £20, available with this pack in a bundle: Change Games Bundle Other popular KS2 Maths resources: Mental Maths Bundle Multiplication / Division Bundle Angles / Symmetry Bundle For engaging, time-saving printables and presentations to help plan Primary Literacy, Maths / Numeracy and French lessons, visit FullShelf Resources

Area Games Year 5 / 6

(1)
Key Stage 2 (KS2) area printable activities - fun, strategic games of Four in a Row for consolidation and revision of area of rectangles, squares, right-angled triangles and compound / composite shapes. Differentiated 3 ways. Originally designed for Y5 and Y6 but it might suit some older groups (KS3) too. In Scotland, use for Second Level Maths, Primary 6 and 7. The boards were originally designed to be printed in A3 and I recommend this so that children have sufficient space to record the area of each 2D shape. Taking turns to go, children use a different coloured whiteboard pen to write the area of a shape in the appropriate box on the grid. If using the same colour as their opponent, they could add their initial to the box. When someone achieves 4 in a row, answers could be checked using the ANSWER GRIDS, or by using a calculator. 1-star version - area of rectangles, squares and right-angled triangles. No conversion required. 2-star - area of rectangles, squares and right-angled triangles. More challenging calculations. Some conversion required between centimetres, metres etc. Includes decimal lengths and breadths. 3-star - area of rectangles, squares, right-angled triangles and compound / composite shapes. Some conversion required. Includes decimal lengths and breadths and more challenging calculations. Some of the compound shapes require children to work out the length of a side, using other given sides, before they can work out the area. Children will be able to do some of the calculations mentally but could work out more challenging ones before writing in the answer on the grid. Place Value Activities KS2

2 Resources
KS2 Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 maths BUNDLE of printable games and puzzles worksheets for place value. Build number sense with fun activities. The dice games features 4, 5, 6 and 7 digit numbers (thousands, ten thousands, hundred thousands, millions) and decimals to 1, 2 and 3 places (tenths, hundredths, thousandths). The puzzles feature 5, 6 and 7 digit numbers. Great for starters, early finisher tasks, extension challenges and homework. All in PDF format. Includes: 17 fun, challenging and strategic games 7 hidden word puzzles Great for differentiation within the same class or for different year groups   PLACE VALUE GAMES: Use as printed worksheets or else laminate (or use in dry-wipe sleeves) and complete with whiteboard pens Instead of playing in pairs, you might form small groups - pairs could play against pairs instead of one-versus-one and you might appoint a checker who can adjudicate (and then swap roles for the next game). Consider enlarging to A3 for larger groups. There is a mixture of Make the Biggest Number, Make the Smallest Number and Greater or Less Than games   Every turn, players can place the digit they throw on any row or column, until there are no vacant boxes remaining, prolonging the uncertainty! Keeping an eye on each other’s numbers as they form, players will begin to spot new tactics; for instance they might notice that a 1 placed in a thousands place might not be so costly if there’s a 9 in the ten thousands place, depending on what their opponent is doing on their grid. They can also practise saying their completed numbers aloud at the end.   If you don’t have a 0-9 dice, the games still work with a 1-6 dice. Alternatively: Use 0-9 spinners (I have included black and white and colour templates for your convenience) if you wish to make some Use digit cards (basic digit cards included in the file) Use a pack of playing cards (use Aces as 1 and Jacks as 0, put aside the Kings and Queens; shuffle the pack and take one card in turn)   Instructions are printed on the boards.   PLACE VALUE CROSS NUMBER PUZZLES: 2 for numbers up to ten thousands 2 for numbers up to hundred thousands 2 for numbers up to millions Differentiation: For each of 5, 6 and 7-digit numbers the first puzzle is for practising reading the word version and writing the digit version in the grid, while the second, more challenging puzzle for each involves adding and subtracting from large numbers (increase by 1000, take away five hundred thousand etc) Works in a similar way to a crossword puzzles but with numbers entered into the grid   Thank you very much for supporting my store.   YOU MIGHT ALSO LIKE… Multiplication and Division Activities BUNDLE Maths Puzzles Worksheets HUGE BUNDLE Place Value CrossNumber Puzzles Decimal Activities KS2 BUNDLE Area and Perimeter Activities BUNDLE   Explore more at FullShelf Resources

Complex Sentences Improving Writing KS2

Super Sentences is a fun creative writing VCOP activity or SPaG game (spelling, punctuation and grammar), ideal for Key Stage 2 (KS2) and early KS3, Year 5, 6 and 7 (Y5, Y6 and Y7) which promotes ambitious vocabulary and variety in sentence structures. Improve sentences by using it again and again! PDF format. 40 printable sentence-formation cards Colour and black and white versions Great as a regular morning starter, early finisher task or warm up for writing. An introductory card models ways to add interest and variety to sentences. Encourages building complex and compound sentences, using subordinate clauses etc. Let students write as silly a sentence as they want and relish playing with words to banish boring sentences!   Also available is Sensational Sentences, featuring even more ambitious vocabulary for older or more able students. SAVE BY GETTING BOTH PACKS IN: Complex Sentences Cards BUNDLE MORE BUNDLE OPTIONS FOR THIS RESOURCE: Improving Sentences BUNDLE Literacy and Maths Time Fillers Year 5 / 6   MORE INFO: Designed as a dice game, it can be used in other ways. As individuals, in pairs or in groups, students roll to find out which 3 words they must incorporate into a sentence (Instructions are on the cards). There are 6 groups of words on each card – openers/connectives, verbs, adjectives, adverbs and two groups of nouns. Students place the selected words anywhere in their sentence, as long as it makes sense, recording the sentence on paper or a mini whiteboard. You may wish to allow flexibility (changing verb tense, using the verb as an adjective etc.) To cater for different situations and abilities, change the number of words they roll for, have students team up with a partner or select any words they want from the card. I encourage dictionary use for unfamiliar words and urge students to keep sentences they are especially proud of for use in longer pieces of writing. The activity might spark a whole story! Print on card or paper and laminate for repeated use. With a smaller group, choose the ones you print and/or laminate cards back to back. Alternatively, display cards on the screen for whole class use.   YOU MIGHT LIKE… Editing SPaG Puzzles Worksheets Creative Writing Prompt Cards First and Third Person Lesson
