This is a GCSE lesson on the strategies to increase food supply. It meets the AQA specification however, it can be adapted easily for other exam boards. Key facts about the lesson are:

This is an introduction lesson to coastal studies. It’s ideal for the first lesson of the term with a KS3 or GCSE group (low ability in particular). Key facts about the lesson are:
1. The lesson covers the definition and identification of key features at the coast. It also covers examples of human uses of the coast and why it is important to learn about coasts in geography.

The lesson is suitable for different specifications but was planned for Edexcel B. Answers are included with some of the tasks which should aid self assessment. There are also exam style questions included.
This is a GCSE lesson on top down and bottom up development strategies. Key facts about the lesson are:
1. The lesson explores the differences between top down and bottom up development projects.
2. The lesson analyses the pros and cons of top down and bottom up approaches to development.
3. The lesson uses two different case studies to develop students understanding of top down and bottom up approaches; High Speed 2 and Sparc India.

This is an A level lesson on the water cycle. It meets the requirements of the AQA and Edexcel specifications in particular. Key facts about the lesson are:
The content covered by the lesson are; the water cycle as a system, the states of water and the proportion of water in different states, features/components of the water cycle (transpiration, percolation etc), flows and stores in the water cycle, factors that affect the rates of precipitation , condensation, evaporation, infiltration, percolation and interception in the water cycle.

This is a year 7 introduction lesson to geography. It’s ideal for the first lesson of the term. Key facts about the lesson are:

This is a GCSE lesson on the economic trends of an emerging country. The case study of India is used. Key facts about the lesson are:
1. The lesson explores the changes in India’s GDP, GDP per capita, economic sectors and trade overtime and how these are affecting it’s development.
2. The lesson will generate lots of discussions on how the economy of a country works and what are the key economic trends associated with emerging countries.
3. The lesson is the second in a series of case study lessons on India’s development as an emerging economy. This is a requirement of the new GCESE specifications. However, it can be adapted for A-level studies as well.

This is a KS3 lesson on the mercalli scale and the magnitude scale (richter scale) however, it is appropriate for a GCSE group as well. Key facts about the lesson are:

A complete lesson with resources on the nature of earthquakes and their destruction. The first part of the lesson helps students understand the phases of an earthquake and what it feels like to be in an earthquake. The second part of the lesson is a problem solving activity on how to manage the immediate problems after an earthquake.
There is also an AFL activity in the lesson.
