This is a complete resource package for teaching the new BTEC Unit 1 C1 Physical changes in aging part of the spec. When you students have sat the May 2017 Pearsons Unit 2 Working in Health and Social Care exam paper and the Jan 2018 exam paper, which has been marked, students often focus on their mark/grade and don’t fully analyse where they went wrong and how they could improve, identifying areas to revise. This is two post exam activities, 12 pages of activities that incorporates the exam board feedback, bits from the mark scheme which encourages analysis and includes practice exam questions they maybe asked in their actual exam.

BTEC Tech Award Level 1/2 Health and Social Care (2022) Component 1 - a complete teaching package to pick-up and run with. This covers what the content for B1. Life Events; Lifes Circumstances and B2. Support that goes with the life events and an individuals disposition and outlook.
If you are following my SoW 2024-2025, this is Week 16, this now relates to PSA Task 3a (Life Event PIES) and 3b (Support) . There are homework tasks for both Level 1 and Level 2 which are adaptable to suit your need eg.date There are activities aimed at building up student notes to have with them in the PSA and capture understanding and can be referred to whilst students complete the PSA Controlled Assessment. There is the continued literacy support with useful vocabulary, again and a case study example PIES.

This package is for teachers delivering the new 2022 spec for BTEC Tech Award in Health and Social Care Component 2.
For teachers following my SoW, this is for week 28 after the completion of Component 1.
It has two presentations, one is 24 slides and covers physical barriers and ways to overcome those as per PSA Task 3, with applied examples. The second is 23 slides and covers Sensory Barriers. There is guidance and options for students note taking which will be a source of reference in the PSA.
Students will be expected to know a range of potential barriers but the focus is on physical and sensory in the spec below and be able to recognise which barrier(s)apply and the most suitable ways to overcome these, for the PSA case study person with a health condition or social care circumstances. Throughout there is reference to different services from A2.
Included is a mock exam to give a guided opportunity to have a go at task 1.
