In this lesson pupils will learn about Buddha’s ascetic life and rejection of it through a clip, information slides and discussion. The starter is a key word test with answers on slide two. There is a past exam question for pupils to mark and then to compare with the examiners comments.

This bundle includes all lessons needed to teach the GCSE topic of Crime and Punishment. You will need the Purple Christianity GCSE AQA book for a couple of the lessons. The lessons include re-cap past paper questions, past paper plenaries, clips, debates, paired tasks, independent tasks and tasks that allow pupils to move around. There is no assessment as I just use the AQA past papers (off the website) as an assessment. These lessons cover everything that needs to be covered according to the AQA spec. Individual lessons can be purchased in my shop.

This lesson introduces pupils to ethical theories by applying them to the story - The Grinch. This lesson includes a clip from the old version of the Grinch with a worksheet. The tasks ask pupils to identify the moral problems in the story which they then look at from different religious perspectives. This is a great lesson if you want to get pupils engaged with ethics.
