I used this resource with my year 10 set 2. It includes 10 starter questions using a calculator to work out the trig ratio and angles. The lessons introduce the Sine, Cosine and Tangent ratio one at a time with examples and 6 questions and answers for each. The final 6 questions are mixed with answers. It moves on to calculating the missing angles and includes some worded problems also.

Pupils draw a 3 by 3 grid and write a word from the given list. My pupils practiced reading the words aloud before playing bingo. The picture appears first, then the word after a mouse click. Pupils needed to put the words into a sentence to win.

I created these as a revision resource for my year 8/9 set 1 classes. I revisit the topics through the starters at the beginning of each lesson. I change the questions after a few weeks and then mix them up and reintroduce them again at a later date to ensure they aren't forgotten.

I give my year 8/9 set 1 a selection of starter questions each lesson. I then print a selection of specific DIRT topic questions and give them to those who have answered them incorrectly a few times as a DIRT activity.
