These two NEA 2 workbook are suitable for GCSE students studying Food (AQA and EDUQAS). The Workbooks are detailed with information and tasks throughout for the students to understand the steps to take to write an Introduction, Plan of Action for Research and the Research section for the NEA 2 coursework.
The booklets provide two example briefs.

Students will explore three manufactured boards - MDF, Plywood, Chipboard. They will have the opportunity to watch a video for each, understand it’s key characteristics and common products they are used for. Students will develop this new/recalled knowledge by completing a worksheet (included). Students are then presented with a mock question to answer. They can then self mark using an exemplary answer, correct their own answer and then write a new exam question with answer; reflecting on the content learned in the lesson.

This NEA 2 Food Workbook is suitable for GCSE students studying Food. The tasks focus on writing a shopping list, equipment list and exploring quality table displays.
How will this be helpful to students?
This resource has been tried and tested with both year 9 and year 10 students studying GCSE Food. It has been an invaluable resource, as it allows students to navigate through the workbook, completing the tasks, preparing them for what’s to come in the final NEA 2 write up. Students liked knowing that there was extra support in completing the tasks. This allowed them more time on each section of the write up, giving them time to ask valuable questions to the teacher and correct errors - a journey necessary before the final NEA 2 write up in year 11! A great learning resource - which helped their understanding when writing a shopping and equipment list; and exploring quality table displays
