Drawing skills- Ideal for KS3 students exploring artists such as Sarah Graham, Sweets and confectionery. This easy set of slides can be printed for students to choose which photograph they want to study and draw. Resources included: Easy to use powerpoint slides Printable worksheets Easy-to-use teacher instructions- set up in minutes Ideal for a non-specialist teaching room, which can be completed over 2-3 lessons. Students draw the grid on the empty box opposite, then start to carefully transcribe each box onto their own grid. Students can develop looking and recording skills through practicing their drawing. There is also scope for teaching blending skills, through using a range of coloured pencils and techniques to make the sweet packets appear realistic. Resources needed: Ruler pencil Coloured pencils As with all my resources, this is tried and tested mainly with Year 9 students in Art and Design (Spring Term). This allows for them to develop ways of recording and colour theory, alongside a ceramic project when they can then apply these skills to painting.

Easy Art cover lesson, ideal for KS3 students in any classroom. Students can add their own zentangled designs to the drawing of an eye on second slide (this will need to be printed one per student). Tips and Tricks: As an additional challenge students could draw the starting eye from the board, then add their own designs around it. Adding colour and pattern can stretch and challenge all students.

Tried and Tested// Ideal for GCSE Art and Design, Surface Design, 3D Design students. A 6+ Weeks project, easy to deliver for long term cover. All essential skills for students to gain an insight into how to create an Artist Research sheet (to include more than one artwork) How to make an artist study, How to create their own inspired artwork and How to create a tessellated lino repeat print. Includes 2 videos for Artist research an How to create a tessellated Lino repeat print. Both are my own videos. If students have access to printing/cameras/phones for the lessons this would be advantageous. Resources required: Printed images, scissors, glue sticks, bench hooks, lino tolls, lino, sharpies, scalpel, block printing inks. This can be done on a small budget if staff manage the resources, and is a GREAT differentiated FINAL outcome for a coursework project.
