This is a great resource to introduce children to the concept of belonging and the symbols related to different world religions. You could begin by asking children to tell a friend about the different clubs and groups they may belong to and how they show that they belong. Using the PowerPoint, go on to explore the different religions people may belong to and the symbols that relate to them. Children can the match religious symbols with the correct religion. Also included in this resource pack is some religious symbol colouring sheets.

A great fully animated PowerPoint to introduce the main parts of a pirate ship and to explain their purpose (the preview of the PowewrPoint may look muddled because the animations are layered. Watch the PowerPoint in full screen and watch the magic happen! There is a pirate ship word bank included in this pack and pictures of a pirate ship for children to stick in their books to label (or why not print them on stickers).

Dear Zoo resource pack

This is a fantastic resource pack and provides you with some quality resources to support children in sequencing the story of Dear Zoo as well as to write their own letter to the zoo... Lesson 1: Children can first of all be introduced to the Dear Zoo story with the animated PowerPoint. Children can then go on to sequence the story by cutting out the story captions in their book; why not print them on to stickers and ask the children to stick the captions in the correct order. Following this children can then work with a partner to peer assess their work. Lesson 2: A lovely differentiated letter template for children to write their very own letter to the zoo.
