This is a fantastic resource that enables children to explore the relationship between addition and subtraction. These could be printed smaller to be glued into books or why not laminate them and ask children to complete them with a board marker so then can be used again and again.

Fact Family Matching Cards - children can work together to arrange the cards into fact families; this will support children in beginning to recognise inverse operations. Triangle Family Fact Sheet - a great resource that encourages children to recognise the position of numbers in a number sentence e.g. the biggest number at the end of an addition number sentence but at the beginning of a subtraction number sentence. These sheets are designed to be laminated so that children can use them time and time again as they develop confidence in this activity. Why not save paper and laminate pouches by printing them off double sided?
