A series of lessons on angles in parallel lines.
Pupils learn types of angles without using “z”, “f”, and “c” but lesson still shows them.
Lessons designed to be done in small steps to improve understanding and to go into the topic in greater depth.
The series of lessons is based on a free session from Craig Burton.
PowerPoint and worksheet with an interesting extension to allow pupils to discover horizontal and vertical lines for themselves. Lesson designed to allow pupils to make 3 levels of progress.
1. Expanding
2. Factorising quadratics and difference in squares
3. Further Factorising
4. Completing the square
NOTE: The starter in further factorising is a bit wrong. Should be no coefficient on the x^2 terms.
First Lesson: Working out the surface area of a prism.
Second Lesson: Working out the volume of a prism.
