Complete Whole Year Plan for Food Technology Lessons based on Jamie's Home Cooking Skills

(0)
A whole year’s full plan; everything you need to run a Food Technology course. 13 detailed PowerPoint lessons (the other lessons are practicals), includes videos, statistics, facts, helpful tips etc. The work book is included (separate documents) to be put together and filled in each lesson. Words in red on the PowerPoint are to be filled into the underlined gaps in their workbooks. The lessons have fun names as part of the fun! The whole course is detailed in an overview and everything is ready to go. The overview explains every lesson along with the practical lessons. Please note that you will have to ever so slightly adapt this to term dates, students’ needs/abilities etc. Here are a few examples of lessons: Brilliant Breakfasts, Luscious Lunches, Super Soups, Marvellous Mince, Vital Vegetables and Bountiful Bread (plus many more!). Apart from the lessons and the work book, this pack also includes: recipe cook book, costings sheet, cutting and preparing techniques, dates for cooking (so you can plan ahead and inform students), a list of all the resources, lesson overview, marking feedback sheet, order of lessons and a practical assessment log sheet. These resources will help you setup a whole cookery course for the year. Suitable for all ages as completely adaptable. Perfect for any cookery/DT teacher to help follow a structured syllabus. Was designed for secondary years 7-9 (KS3) but can be used for any year - even juniors (amend accordingly). I hope you like it:)

One Word Learn! - For Teaching New English Vocabulary

Miss Andrew’s One Word Learn! Is a brilliant and effective way of getting secondary students to learn new vocabulary regularly. The PowerPoint is colourful and funky! The idea is to introduce 1 new word at the start of each English lesson (could also be used as a house or extra-curricular activity). You would spend about 7-10 minutes, start to finish on this. Workbook included in this download. For each word there are 4 slides: Title slide: Introduces the word Definition slide: Gives definition of the word from Oxford Dictionary Example slide: Two sentences showing the context in which you could use the word in Activity slide: A wide range of English activities to complete using your new words; such as synonyms, antonyms, sentences, word search, similes, metaphors etc. There are 10 words included in this PowerPoint and 41 slides in total. Our whole school use it and the progress and feedback has been extremely positive! I aim to upload a new PowerPoint every 2 weeks. Please let me know if there are any words you’d like to see! Literature Revision Checklist

Literature Revision Checklist

Great checklist to give your students for each book so they can see what they do know/need to improve on - great for checking their understanding and helpful for when planning revision sessions. Students are asked to write the book title, a summary of the plot, answer 7 questions using yes/no tick boxes and then they need to write 2 areas in which they need to prioritise and 3 areas where they feel comfortable and just need to recap. Hope you like it - so useful!:)
A Level Psychology Research Task

A Level Psychology Research Task

(0)
Great research task for students to learn to be able to find information from books, magazines, journals and articles. Task has 6 separate topics which are abnormalities, social, memory, attachment, stress and research methods. There are 2 questions for each heading for students to work on. For each one, students have to write the book/article as to where they found the information, author, page number/chapter and the answer to the question. Would take a 2/3 lessons if they were in a library, looking for the information or 1/2 lesson if they were to use computers. Hope you like it:)
