I designed this to take place in form time over 2 days. The form tutor goes through the PowerPoint one day and the following day the class divides into groups of 4 and do the quiz. Two narrative question model answers to help pupils understand the end of the Cold War. I find that students find the events from 1989-1991 difficult to understand and so I have done these model answers to help. They are; Write a narrative account analysing the main developments in the collapse of the Berlin Wall during 1989. (8) Write a narrative account analysing the key events in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe in the years 1989– 91. (8)
