Year 1 Continuous Provision - Colour Monster

(0)
Year 1 Continuous Provision - Colour Monster This scheme of work has been planned with emotional literacy in mind. It could be used at any point in the year, particularly if you are helping children to understand and deal with their emotions. However, it would be a great transition resource for the first week of year 1. Part 1 - Each day includes one group or whole class activity that focuses on children dealing with and understanding their emotions. Each day covers a different book linked to a different emotion, these include: • The Colour Monster by Anna Llenas (all feelings) • Angry Octopus by Lori Lite and Max Stasuyk (anger) • Where Happiness Begins by Eva Eland (happiness) • Breathing Makes It Better by Christopher Willard and Wendy O’Leary (calm) • Felix after the Rain by Dunja Jogan (sadness) Part 2 - Part 2 includes a range of suggested continuous provision activities that you may want to put out for the children to access throughout the week. There is a number of activities listed, all engaging and fun. All of the continuous provision planning has direct links to the Year 1 National Curriculum (except PE), but links to the new EYFS 2021 Development Matters have also been made on the first page. This is detailed planning (3600 words). Please leave a review if you are happy with this product; I would really appreciate it. White Rose Maths - Early Years - First, Then, Now

(0)
White Rose Maths - Early Years - First, Then, Now White Rose Maths - Early Years - Summer - Phase 2 - Weeks 4, 5, 6 Suitable for Early Years Please note: this planning is based off of the previous version of White Rose Maths. They have since updated their scheme, however a lot of the themes overlap. This detailed planning (5360 words) has links to the NEW EYFS 2021 Framework and includes lots of fun activities, all of which are practical and engaging! Most of the learning takes place through a play based approach. The planning has a new format that it makes it more practical for everyday use in an Early Years setting. The front page of the document highlights the development matters/ ELG statements that are being met. As the White Rose SOL for the summer term is more formal than the previous two terms, I have tried to ensure that this planning is still fun and engaging, but includes the use of more maths manipulatives and encourages children to record more of their findings. So this planning has a slightly different layout then the Autumn and Spring terms. The main planning includes 5 minute warm ups for each of the weeks, an input for each day of the week and an adult-focus activity for each day of the week too. There is also a suggested ‘digging deeper’ section. This planning does NOT include the resources, they are available to purchase here. You can still use the planning without the resources, but the resources will save you a lot of time. The WALTS covered are: Week 4 – Adding More Add by counting on. Add more (through stories). Add more (ten frames). Add by counting on (number track). Find missing numbers. Week 5 – Taking Away Understand what take away means. Take away (through stories). Take away (tens frame). Find missing numbers. Week 6 – Spatial Reasoning Use positional language. Deconstruct shapes. Build shape structures. Create a pattern. Recreate a shape picture. The next unit, Find My Pattern, is available here! Please leave a review if you are happy with this product; I would really appreciate it. I would love to hear what you think of the new format, or if you have any questions or comments please email me on BackToBalanceTES@hotmail.com © 2023, MrsRosieTeach This planning is based upon the White Rose Early Years SOL, but it is NOT affiliated with or in collaboration with White Rose Maths.
