In this lesson, students will work towards the objective: To identify key facts about the planets in our solar system.
They will be introduced to the eight planets and learn key facts about each one including which are the gas planets and which are rocky planets. They will learn about asteroids and comets and will complete their own independent research task on each planet in terms of key features.

In this lesson students will learn who Charles Darwin was, looking at his early life and career choices, his journey on the HMS Beagle and his findings in the Galapagos Islands.

In this lesson, students will look at examples of reversible physical changes and irreversible chemical changes involving reactants and products. They will categorise different changes accordingly and will learn what indicators to look for to determine whether something is an irreversible change.

Microorganisms are small organisms invisible to the naked eye because of their extremely small size. They are grouped into various groups like Bacteria, fungi, algae, protozoa and viruses. Many of these organisms are useful to human and nature while some are harmful and even cause diseases.
In this lesson, students will learn about the 5 different types of microorganisms: fungi, bacteria, algae, viruses and protozoa. They will watch videos which explain their dangers but also their uses and they will tasked to determine which is helpful and harmful from the examples given.
Following this, they will carry out an experiment looking at the conditions which cause mould to grow on bread. The experiment investigation sheet is provided.
