Topic: Cyberbullying is a form of bullying that takes place over digital devices such as mobile phones, computers, and tablets. With most young people having access to these devices, it is not surprising that cyberbullying is becoming more common. It is important that young people are aware of how to deal with the people out there who misuse technology and moreover, make sure that they are aware of the implications of their own online behaviour and how it can affect others.
This lesson looks at different social media platforms and their intended purpose. The lesson also explores how these social media platforms can unfortunately be misused in a number of ways. Learners will specifically focus on cyberbullying, its effects and how to respond or support others.
