This easy to use worksheet is the perfect start to a lesson to discuss La Navidad. It can be used as a starter or plenary to open a discussion about Spain´s traditions for Christmas, but also as a tutor activity that can be done with students during registration if you’d like to make this a whole-school activity to promote languages. Students must find different words relating to La Navidad in the word search looking for them across, vertically, horizontally and diagonally. Some letters are used twice to suit two words, so please let your students know that. It shouldn’t take students more than 10 minutes to complete and if you’d like to expand the activity you could always explain why these words are specific to La Navidad. This a bundle of activities for Day of the Dead suitable for KS3 and lower ability groups at KS4. If you’re looking for activities that will take your students through the 4 core skills of Spanish, this bundle is for you! It includes the following activities: Highlighter race Vocab match up Categorisation of nouns, adjectices, and verbs relating to Día de los Muertos Mindreader/Bingo 2x Translation Pyramids (1x in Spanish, 1x in English) Writing Task (has a writing strip that students can follow to write a text on their opinion of Day of the Dead) Listening Task (no audio provided - teacher must read aloud and students fill in the gaps) Reading tasks (Q&A and translation of a text) Speaking Task (survey-like exercise) The activities have teacher instructions where needed, in the notes section of each slide in the PPT. This is a 70-page document that will help your students master verb conjugations in the present, preterite, imperfect, future, and conditional tenses. Each tense is explained and has the corresponding endings present before students begin practicing the conjugations in that particular time tense. As you know, there are exceptions to every rule so there are many irregular verbs present but the majority of the verbs in this booklet are of high-frequency and recommeded to be studied by the AQA guidance. Christmas End of Term Escape Room - If you’re looking for a fun way to end the term, look no further! This Escape Room is designed to give your students 40+ minutes of engaging and competitive time with their peers as they solve each puzzle in order to find the missing Christmas presents. The Christmas Escape Room includes 7 TASKS that students must go through in order to find the presents. By working in teams of 3-5, your pupils will be using a variety of skills throughout the lesson, such as: problem-solving skills, critical thinking, teamwork, communication and even some maths skills! Students will start by reading out a message left by an elf who is requesting their help in finding the missing Christmas presents. From then on, you will give each team the first task and when you receive a correct answer the second task can be given and so on, until they figure out where the presents are hidden. WHAT YOU GET: ☞ Escape Room Slides (PDF) -You can keep tasks on the board for students to better see them. This is a reading comprehension text on Holidays with tasks based on the text. It includes 5 activities and an answer key at the end. For the writing task I have provided a model answer as the task is subjective to the student. This is aimed at KS3 but could easily be used for lower sets at GCSE and as a revision task for those on the Foundation tier.
