This is a Medium Term Plan for DT KS1, Year 2 but could be adapted for Year 1. The unit it titled ‘Perfect pudding for a king!’. The unit includes 6 sessions planned with progression in mind. The objectives for this unit of work are: To understand where food comes from. To name the different food groups. To say why I like a product and give reasons. To explore a range of users and purposes To use appropriate vocabulary to describe food. To understand that all food comes from plants or animals. To know that food has to be farmed, grown elsewhere or caught. To name and sort foods into the five groups in the Eatwell plate.
