Planned for AQA new spec (9-1) but suitable for most exam boards. This is a knowledge organiser that contains key thinkers, and a summary of the unit. A new unit of work using the PSHE association mapping structure for the new 2020 Relationship, Sex and Health Education area. This unit is aimed at Year 7. But suitable for any KS3 group. Lesson 2 looks at online safety. Students are encouraged to think about WHAT they share, WHY they share it and WHERE this data ends up. A small assessment that encourages students to apply both skills and knowledge to the research methods unit.

A computer based lesson. The worksheet can either be printed (preferable) or shared via a school sharing platform and students can edit it on microsoft word. Powerpoint to assist students doing their websearches.

New Spec 9-1. Included is the progress checkpoint that we complete every 6 lessons, this may suit your assessment schedule as a mini-mid unit assessment. Students complete this as a low-stake, open book assessment where they can see if their notes are of a good enough quality. The feedback lesson includes a whole-class feedback slide, and both 4 mark questions have a model answer. The students highlight and mark this answer, identifying how it is a good answer. They then attempt a new 4 mark question acting on their feedback.

L2 of Life in Modern Britain. This lesson looks at Migration and how this is has impacted on population. The main focus of the lesson is to consider the impact of an aging population.

This lesson compares 1950s to 2000s households. Looks at Elizabeth Botts conjugal roles with a considersation of her sample size and if this is a generalisable study. Lesson also uses Talcott Parsons “roles” as an alternative viewpoint. Students then plan their own research into conjugal roles.

Planned to be delivered to students studying the AQA Specification A, but easily adapted for other exam boards. I have planned all content to be delivered during an intensive Easter School session, in which the aim is for students to understand the main content of the exam. There is a revision checklist, and some exam answer structure support included at the end of the powerpoint. Also suitable for a school VLE.

New AQA Specification 9-1. Lesson looking at how internal and external factors plus social class affect the educational achievement of working class children

A new scheme of work aimed at KS3 Y7. This unit of work will be a Chronology of Monotheism. Starting with Genesis, moving through Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Each religion will cover Key religious figures, information on their holy book and a rite of passage/religious practice. The aim of this unit is to compliment our GCSE curriculum in which we study Christianity and Islam. The learning journey for the unit is included. The Bible: An introduction to the Bible, looking at the Old and New Testament in a video and gap filler. Students then look at the different ways the Bible can be interpretted- liberal and literal. They consider other sources of authority that may provide more guidance in the modern day (prayer, visiting church, listening to their conscience). Students then pretend to ring into This Morning to answer a phone in question regarding if the Bible is out of date.

Students complete a market place activity to look at the different denominations and then complete a fact file.
