Learners should be encouraged with describe and explain how energy is lost and can be prevented in the space within the foldable - along with this literacy focus there is also a student worksheet attached with calculation questions - this could easily be completed for a HW. Create a fractional distillation column which folds open to show the fractions inside. There is plenty of space to colour and for teacher autonomy. Fractions are folded inwards so can not be seen until the cover is taken off. Fractions then fold out. There is also an extended question sheet that is the correct to stick over the inside cover to stretch learners to explain what is happening inside the column. Included is a mark scheme (what points exam boards look for) and a differentiated key points sheet that could be given out or used instead of the extended answers.
