This resource pack contains all of the presentations, worksheets and activities needed to teach an engaging and progressive 6-week enquiry-led RE unit of learning. This unit aims to equip children with the knowledge and skills needed to answer the big question: ‘What is the Holy Trinity?’ The unit is broken down into 6 sessions: Three Persons in One God; God the Father part 1 - Creation and the Old Testament; God the Father part 2 - The Ten Commandments; God the Son - The Baptism of Jesus Christ; God the Holy Spirit - The Holy Spirit is sent after the Death of Jesus; Assessment Lesson (assessment provided). All of the resources are provided to teach each lesson (in the past we have taught them as double lessons and spread into 12 separate sessions) and each presentation contains key questions through the 3 lenses of theology, philosophy and human/social sciences. Worksheets are provided in both Word (to allow editing) and PDF (to protect formatting). Each session contains knowledge recall based on learning from prior in the unit, a range of worksheet/ video/ creative resources to enhance engagement and a return to the enquiry question in the reflection section of the lesson. These resources are tried and tested and best suited to children in years 3 and 4. They are aligned with the age-related expectations used by the vast majority of regions/ diocese boards. When downloaded, the resources will be open in the download and also copied within the zip file.
