Measuring Volume - Homework Activity and Worksheet

(0)
2 activities attached. Homework Activity: Students must look for a variety of containers at home that contain liquid. Can they find the number on the label that tells them how many litres (l) or millilitres (ml) they hold? They must then find three containers to bring in to school. One should be about 1 litre, one should be about half a litre (or about 500 millilitres) and the last should be much smaller than half a litre. Worksheet Activity: For this activity, present the children with a variety of empty containers (labelled A to F). You could use ‘some’ of the containers the children brought in for homework. Students must then estimate the volume of each container. They must then record the actual measurements and finally calculate the difference between their estimate and actual measurement. **Both activities are fully editable.
