Estimate and Measure Length (m & cm) Worksheet Estimate and measure objects (in cm) or larger areas (in m) using this versatile worksheet. If you haven’t got access to a trundle wheel to measure areas in metres, just ask your student’s to measure using long strides (these are equal to approximately 1 metre). Fully editable.

Wrist, Ankle & Head Measurements

Wrist, Ankle & Head Measurements An excellent practical Maths lesson! Measure and record wrist, ankle and head circumference measurements - I’ve attached 2 types of record sheets ,… just choose your favourite one! Also attached is a graph to plot the results of each body area (wrist, ankle & head), The graph allows for 17 children’s names … you could get half the class to show the results from the girls and half the class to show the results from the boys (or just split the class in half). More than enough space to compare measurements. You will need string/measuring tapes and rulers for this lesson. Fully editable.

Maths - Target Boards

**3 Target Boards ** 3 Target Boards: Whole Numbers, Decimal Numbers & Negative Numbers. The idea of Target Boards has been around for a long time and they are an effective way of working with numbers. How it works: Your student’s are presented with a grid of numbers and you say something like: Which numbers add up to make 20? How many multiples of 4 can you find? Give me two numbers that have a sum of 18. How many odd numbers are there? There are lots of variations you can do with this activity … split the class into two groups and get them to compete, individual time trials etc.
