Icebreakers! This ice breaker resource is a great addition to back to school tutor time, 'dropdown' days or any lesson! It can even be used as a distance learning Teams or Zoom tool. This is the perfect addition to any classroom, especially at the beginning of the year.< This is a FULLY INTERACTIVE presentation with animation and MUSIC. The PPT consists of over 30 Slides with 12 Icebreaker scenarios and three of our fun count down timers. Use the Ice Breaker Selector Wheel on slide 2 to select one of the 12 Ice breaker questions within this presentation. Click on a coloured segment of the selector to start it spinning and the hand to stop it. You can then click on the selected emoji to take you to the relevant activity. If you wish to be taken back to the Icebreaker Selector, there is a signpost on each page. You have the option of selecting either one of the 5, 10 or 15 minute timers for each activity. The time you allocate for each of these scenarios is completely up to you. It can be a quick simple discussion at the start of the lesson, or formulate the body of your lesson. We always love to use the think, pair, share method. This can take 15 to 20 minutes for each question posed. This lesson Starter Generator perfect for back to school. This can be used as a distance learning tool with a great range of mini activities for a zoom or Teams session. Check out our Plenary Generator here. These are the perfect pair of resources to have in ANY lesson! This is a fully INTERACTIVE presentation with animation and MUSIC. The PPT consists of 37 Slides and a 7 page booklet. SUPER FOR Assessment for Learning (AFL) Check out the Book: Use the Starter Generator Wheel on slide 3 to select one of the 10 starters within this presentation. Press the ’Start’ Button to spin the wheel and the ‘Stop’ button to select a number. You can then click on the coloured segment selected to take you to that particular starter. Energy: Sankey Diagrams Lesson This is a fully differentiated lesson teaching pupils of how to represent energy efficiency as a Sankey diagram. This Sankey Diagram pack contains: A PPT (33 slides) and handouts (5 sheets) . Activities include: Starter Task:A Thinking Skills questions- on energy efficiency. A demonstration on how to draw Sankey Diagrams. Pupils will then look at three devices and their energy efficiency. Activity: Pupils have to calculate the energy efficiency of these three items and create Sankey diagrams based on the data. There are differentiated sheets within the workbook to aid pupils who are having difficulties in drawing them. A peer assessment on the individual activities is included too. Exit task/Plenary: Pupils have to name the energy in the pictures, identify the useful energies and state whether they are efficient or not. Awards Assembly This is a fully editable end of term / end of year assembly PowerPoint with MUSIC. This contains a Christmas version and a version for all other times of the Year. This Awards Assembly is great for the last assembly before you finish for the festive season. It is designed to award academic excellence and to add a bit of fun to the end of the year. The PowerPoint consists of over 40 slides with 16 award categories with award category slides left blank for you to add your own should you so wish. Following each award category slide is a ‘Winner is…’ slide where you can add a picture and insert the name of the pupil onto the admission ticket. A tutorial is included with this PowerPoint should you need it. Alternatively, if you do not wish to add your own pictures, the admission ticket can be pasted onto the ‘Award Category’ slide with the name of each pupil typed onto it. Measurement Introduction to Science - Measuring Temperature This is an introductory practical lesson about measurement to demonstrate how pupils measure temperature and teaches them the importance of accuracy. This resource pack contains: A PPT (12 slides) and handouts (2 sheets) . Included in this resource is two of our timers complete with MUSIC. Activities include: Starter Task: Thinking Skills question Activity on on recording temperature. Pupils are asked to estimate the temperature of certain items and plot them on their worksheet. Then they are given the answer and asked to plot the temperatures correctly. Experiment on measuring temperatures. Plenary (Exit task) : Slap it up- Pupils are asked to write something they have learnt in the lesson and a question they would like to ask and slap it up on the board before they leave. Never plan an evaluation skills lesson again with this Evaluation Skills resource. All you have to do is enter the topic and let the pupils do the rest. Starter: Debate generator. Our debate generate is packed with 60 generic topics for discussion. Simply click the spin button and stop button to select a topic. The class can then be divided into two to discuss the + & - Add your topic and statement/ question to slides 10 & 25. This will introduce the pupils to the topic and remind them of it when they come to plan. Pupils have doodle note sheets to make notes as the lesson progresses should they wish. Pupils watch a clip of how to structure paragraphs with the PEEL framework. Pupils are given two frameworks to use WAWOS and SONIC (Lower Ability pupils) There are some general rules of thumb for evaluation questions (this is explained) Pupils are taken through how they should divide the time given to them when answering such questions. There is a planning sheet that can be given for each evaluation question. Pupils are also give a marking framework to use during a peer or self assessment (your decision which assessment is used here) There are 6 TeachElite timers in this pack- 1 min, 2 min, 3 min, 6 min, 8 min & 16 min. Plenary: Pupils have a reflective plenary whereby they discuss their learning hurdles. This is a booklet that is designed to be taught alongside our History of Christianity PowerPoint that can be found here . Together they form one of our 'Grab & Go Lessons' with Zero prep needed. This lesson is designed to be a summary of some of the key events in Christian history. It is the 3rd in the series of resources we are creating for the new RS GCSE. The starter activity is based on our the fidget spinner activity from last lesson and is designed to ascertain pupil understanding of last lesson's topic. There is a Fidget Spinner Placemat that is designed to be enlarged to A3 size for pupils to make notes as they progress through the starter activity. There is also a fidget spinner sheet (without space for notes) that you can print in colour and laminate for classroom use. Pupils have opportunity to use the Religious Studies Vocabulary Booklet to add any additional Key Words they learn during the lesson. Additionally, There is an order activity on key events in the Bible and Christianity to date. There are lots of events included to give you the option to use them all or select the events that you would like to include in your own lessons. The plenary activity is our Emoji Graph. Pupils are asked to choose some of the key events in Christian history and create an emoji graph based on this. The number of events for them to choose has been left to your discretion depending on the ability of the class. This PPT also includes a video link to Christianity in our society today.
