Three extracts for the analysis questions of both paper 1 and 2. The question for Frankenstein was... How does the writer use language to portray a negative view of the monster? Includes a question race to add a bit of variety
This resource covers three lessons but will last for about 5 due to the students having to write their own story. They begin with an example story and improvements and then slowly build up their own. For mid-lower ability. Used with year 8.

Various lessons that cover the key scenes of the play. Lessons include; character explorations, language analysis; comparisons, how to answer an exam question with a detailed run through. Slides include resources and clips that are needed for the lessons. This was made for a year 10 set with target grades of 6-8. They found some of the tasks challenging and found the races at the beginning engaging.
This was also paired with one week of solid text reading. I introduced the text initially, spent one week reading in class and then went on to discuss the key points.
This is a 5 week scheme of work for the genre of Fantasy. It explores the ideas in Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland, The Hobbit and more. It was designed to be used with both a set 2 and 3. The resources for each lesson are included in the power point and are clearly labelled. Differentiated slides are also included. Any clips are linked on the slides. My classes found this engaging and there are a range of activities. The SOW has a focus on writing skills but some reading and language analysis skills are also visited.
