The lesson covers pupils initial ideas relating to healthy eating, the importance of eating a variety of minimally processed foods, the impact of having too much sugar, the correlation between food and sleep, benefits of taking time to eat and the overall importance of healthy eating for teens. This is a termly assembly theme plan dated for Term 2 of School Year 2024/25 however the dates can be changed. The termly theme is Peace, Conflict and Choosing Respect with each week having a theme related to this topic or an applicable awareness event e.g. Anti Bullying Week. This plan is designed for a Secondary School however could easily be adapted for Primary School. The plan includes a UNICEF Rights Respecting Article of the Week which relates to the weekly theme and a short Bible quotation which also relates to the theme. Each week also sets out awareness events that are applicable. Some guidance is given as to what you might like to focus an assembly on each week as well as some thoughts for the week.
